  1. To resale or rent  a timeshare is a hard task, the basic rule is not to pay money up-front, don’t be another victim of a scam.

Unfortunately over 50% of people that really need to sale their timeshare falls for this resale scams where they charge money upfront and less than 10% of them use their only real option wich is to post it or offer it trough free advertising options as much, and as many sites as they can (it is ok to pay a few dollars to post in a great place but no more that $20 to $30).

Timeshares do not have resale value and in most situations you would take a loss in what you paid for, as they resale for less than $1000 USD.

  2. Extremely difficult to resell your time share.  Every company I checked wants money up front.  Try calling the resort itself and ask if they have a buy back program   If not try ebay

  3. Sad to say, your timeshare is probably worth as much as a car without an engine.  They are extremely difficult to resell once purchased, and the folks who sold it to you aren't going to be interested in buying it back unless they are fully sold out.

Don't worry about being ripped off.  That happened back when you bought the timeshare.

    Good luck.

  4. A $20,000 time share resells for $2,000 and takes 12 months. If this is ok, put up signs at the complex swimming pool and bulletin board and mailbox. Keep going back to make sure they are up.  The owners of the time share sometimes make you an offer of $4,000 just to get you to take your signs down.  /

  5. Usually at a big loss.  There are services that do it for you at a big commission rate plus up front fees.  You can try Craigslist or ebay also if you feel you can handle the paperwork yourself.
