We just purchased a 2003 Ford E150 Conversion Van. It has a key pad on the outside of the front door. Is that for the lock system? How does it work? Where does one find the number to use on the key pad?

Thanks for your help.

  1. IF THE KEYPAD IS INSTALLED FROM THE MANUFACTURER, IT IS A SAFETY THING IN CASE YOU LOCK YOU KEYS IN THE VEHICLE. YOU CAN GET THE CODE FROM A DEALERSHIP IF YOU GIVE THEM YOU VIN NUMBER. A LOT OF VANS HAVE THE CODE ON A STICKER IN THE BACK. OPEN THE BACK DOORS. I BELIEVE ON THE LEFT HAND SIDE. REMOVE THE PANEL AND THERE IS A METAL BOX. LOOKS LIKE A COMPUTER BOX. IT USUALLY HAS A STICKER ON  IT THAT HAS THE CODE ON IT. GOOD LUCK IN YOUR ENDEAVOR.
