  1. Newfoundlanders usually go to Alberta to work not Quebec.

It effects the economy because you have this group of migratory workers. They're staying in one place just to make money and return to their home province.  The Oil and Gas industry in Alberta has a large number of migrant workers or temporary workers. usually young men staying in apartments, rental properties or in some cases temporary housings. The companies are paying for flying workers back and forth in some cases. Other times the workers settle and stay in the province.

It effects to economy because migratory work focuses on bringing money or product back to the home province or country. Rather then settling and reinvesting the money in the country or province where they work.
