  1. inside the ocean have seaweeds and they carry up the photosynthesis proses. Therefor it's happen in the ocean..

  2. 1)=The mechanism of photosynthesis is the same like green  land plants . But the organisms are different .

2 )= In the oceans tiny , microscopic green organisms called Phytoplanktons do the job . Various types of autotrophic algae also contribute their share in the total production of 'food' via photosynthesis in the oceans .

3 ) =These organisms occur in all oceans at all depths except where there is total darkness !! They are more abundant up to 200 meters to 1000 meters below the surface .

4 )= Quantity wise ; the total photosynthesis in all the oceans taken together far EXCEEDS  the total production on the land mass ( Remember oceans occupy 3/4 th of the earth's surface !

5 ) All the marine fishes and other animals up to large sharks and whales are exploited by man day in and day out . But these are BASICALLY  sustained by the producers mentioned in ( 2 ) above .

  3. It usually happens in shallow areas because the organisms have to have access to light.

Most commonly it is algae and phytoplankton that photosynthesise but there are marine plants as well.

Light can penetrate water but only to a certain depth.

There is enough carbon dioxide in the ocean to sustain many photosynthetic organisms as it is easily soluble in water.
