  1. the plates push dirt up makeing mountains, volcanos are made when the plates move apart.

  2. I don't know what a plate movement is so I'm going to take a wild guess but I think that a plate movement has something to do with the plates in the Earth sooo I guess the plate would move and block the magma from the earth to come up in the mountain and turn into a volcano ? :P

    I don't know ... It's a wild guess :D

  3. i dont know how much you know about plate tectonic

but i try to explain the answer of your question simply

there are two kind of margin for plates, oceanic and continental

    oceanic crust has greater density

if two plate which one of them has oceanic margin and second one has continental margin collide each other oceanic crust subducted under continental crust( due its higher density) in this condition subducted margin would be melted and volcanos would be created just above subduction zone

but in the case of collision of two continental crust, they cannot subducted (they have same density) so they push each other

due to this force, mountains are created

  4. Two tectonic plates collide, and one tectonic plate slides under the other. The resulting pressure pushes the top-most plate upward, creating a mountain.
