  1. the more people the more body heat the more cars giving off harmful gases. and the more factories making more things to support the growing population which also means more gases in2 the air which couls affect the ozne layer and climate & stuff like that.♥

  2. OK, this is funny...   How in the world would the environment know if there is one million people, ten billion people, or one person?  How does the environment know whether there is 500 trillion gallons of oil in the ground, five million or one gallon of oil in the ground?

If you are concerned, please make sure that you ALWAYS use birth control so that the environment is happy.

  3. well...increasing in population=increase in Co2 usage,

                                                      +increase in deforestation

increase in CO2 contributes to global warming effect....deforestation also contributes to global warming effect...

thus resulting in a warmer world

  4. yes because more people means more driving to work to school, etc....which cars use more gas and that affects the climate.

  5. It doesn't.  Climate change can affect population growth though.  A warmer planet can support more life than a cold glacier-covered one.

  6. If the population growth were of ground squirrels then the I'd say very little until the ground squirrels eat ever plant in site and cover large swaths of the planet in desert. If you are talking about human, we have a similar effect on the planet as we use more space than we occupy. Our food needs would be relatively transparent to the environment if we grew crops and raised animals. The problem is that we each have a watch, cell phone, car, radio, TV, computer, and clock consuming energy on our behalf. We also each have a share of the national infrastructure. There are stop lights, signs, and stores using a share of their energy to meet our needs. We also have huge piles of stuff for each person (just try moving and look at your pile) so there are factories all over the world turning out goods in some odd proportion to the number of people on the planet. All this consumption far exceeds the impact that a ground squirrel might make, even a 6 foot tall squirrel.

More people means more consumption in excess of need so the impact is multiplied exponentially.

  7. increasing population puts stress on natural resources as the demands increase. this leads to more n more utilization of goods and services by man all over the world. this leads to increase in pollution, which indirectly impacts the global climate change, as the scientist say.hope it is proved by an example-

increase in population demands more supply of electricity, in case of thermal power plants , more coal is used to suffice this increasing demand. it not only stresses on natural coal reserves, but also leads to increase in pollution.

hence to control global climate change, control of population also becomes important.

hope u got the answer u were looking for !

  8. more ppl = more polution due to more traveling, waste, etc.

more ppl = deforestation, areas cleared for housing or timber

more ppl = animal depletion(sp), ppl invade their habitats and drive them out

  9. It doesn't.  The Earth's land could be divided up so every family of 4 has 20 acres.

The problem is that there are 6 billion people on this Earth.  Most people can't comprehend numbers on this scale.

The Earth could easily handle 30 billion people.
