  1. hey uh, cool guy...

too big use of words for my taste..

    umm...

new movies, different dialogue, and directors... few people seem to sneak by with their own takes and avoid the "basic" screenplay format, plot 1 twist plot 2 etc...

not many are very successful, performance wise... i believe more of it is understated and not as dramatic and dreamy as it once was... it's more on a "home movie" sort of level... gives the viewer a more "personal" relationship with the characters.. (i believe)

  2. OK, I am a touch thick, but could you cite a post-modernist film against which one could make a reference?

One film that I will cite is "Moulin Rouge"

It is an unconventional musical, as it is set in 1900 France, but uses modern songs and music to tell the story.

Many people were taken aback by all this, as they were expecting a "normal" musical.

The real problem is that if you push the envelope too hard, it will rip and you have accomplished nothing.

also, people are very set in their ways when they see a movie, so you could not have an erotic musical or a war picture, set in modern times, where everyone uses rocks as weapons
