  1. Fossil fuels like Coal,oil contains sulfur.This become sulfur di oxide or Tri oxide after combustion and reaches the atmosphere with smoke. Due to rain or moisture in atmosphere, it will become acid


  2. Its compounds of sulfur and nitrogen that are produced from fossil fuel power plants that cause acid rain. SO2 (Sulfur dioxide) is one of the worst and comes from the coal. The SO2 in the air is dissolved into the rain as it falls producing a mild sulfuric acid.

  3. Sulphur is a by product of the burning of coal for power generation. It is released into the atmosphere where it combines with water vapour to form sulphuric acid.
