How does purchasing over the internet work?

I'm 14 Ive never bought anything over the internet before. I have a banksa atm card but do I give them the number on the back of my card or what?

  1. hi its very easy you just enter your cards details when prompted, but please follow a few simple rules, always make sure when you enter your cards details the site begins with HTTPS this let you know that you are conducting a secure transaction, and internet fraud is sadly on the increase, if you not sure i've added a link with some more bits to help you..


  2. need credit card to purchase anything on the net ...or you can set up a paypal account to automatically debit your account for a purchase ...but not all sellers use paypal as a payment option the majority of main stream stores sell through credit card ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

  3. Yes. Just as you would in a shop.

    Some people prefer to use a service like PayPal. You give PayPal your  card details and when you buy from a shop that takes PayPal, you get sent to the PayPal website to make the payment. You don't give the shopping site your details. It's safer.
