  1. ee-von

  2. sounds european.....sounds good

  3. Yvon is beautiful, it's pronounced as e-von.

  4. It's normally spelled Yvonne, and I think that is a beautiful name that you don't see very often. Shortening it to Yvon, I'm  not so big on...Yvonne is a beautiful name and shouldn't be chopped short.

  5. Its a nornal name if you mean "Yvonne" Pronounced E-VON.

  6. For a boy or girl?

I think Yvon is popular for french guys, don't really like it for a boy though!

For a girl, it's ok, kind of dated.  It reminds me of a girl with an afro in the  70's.

  7. i like it

  8. I like it though the spelling is a bit irritating. Try "Yvonne"

  9. Blah....sounds so dated and boring

  10. Since you are eliminating the silent E, the O turns into a short sound.  An E at the end of a word means to elongate the prior vowel like Rid vs. Ride or Ton vs. Tone.  So, phonetically it's pronounced ev-von similar to Avon.  It's a French boy's name, I think.  Pretty cool name.

  11. hi, it's pronounced ee-von, it's an ok name, better than these made up names people use!!

  12. if it's pronounced e-von then spell it that way so your child doesn't have to say my name is Yvon but it's spelled...................and it's pronounced......................! Poor child.

    I like the name Evonn.
