Question:

How does re-stringing a racquet work?

I wanted to get my racquet re-strung to see how it affects my game. I was wondering how long it takes, about how much it costs, and how do they get the logo of the company back on the string?

Also, what's the difference between natural and synthetic gut string?

  1. It takes a stringer an hour or less to do, and usually is around $20, but could be more or less depending on the quality of the string.    Some stringers can put the logo on the string by spraying a stencil with paint.   Many don't bother doing that.    Natural gut is made from the intestines of cows generally, and synthetic gut is just that.   It is man made and similar to nylon or such fiber.
