How does salt and baking soda work in treating an abscess?

  1. Where is the abscess? Has it been drained? Was there any bacterial, fungal or amoebic growth?


  2. Well the salt and the baking soda work as abrasive agents. What that means is they are rubbed on the gum line of the abscess and that slowly breaks down the skin allowing the abscess to burst. It tastes really bad when it does burst!

      I have used that method in the past. Takes a while but it works.
