  2. This is a good question.

    The difference starts by understanding that groups (teams) do not commit to anything (such as the goal). It is individuals that commit.

    So .....

    It should be self-evident that an individual commits to his/her individual goal.

    Where a group is concerned there is not group commitment until every individual around the table indicates their (individual) commitment. If everybody commits at the individual level then we can say that the group is committed to the group goal.

    Commitment is tested by asking each individual in turn for their commitment.

    Understanding this issue is important.

  3. An individual goal is one in which only you count and can make a difference to achieving or not

    A group goal needs to be agreed on by all member's of the group making it a indervidual goal for each and each needing to achive.
