  2. Norway is home to 'nordic' or XC skiing. Skis are long and wide. Turns are done with steps on flat terrain. A good trail has, flat, uphill and downhill bits. Alpine (downhill)skiing involves rigid bindings and power turns. The trail is usually down only.

  3. Usually Norway skiing is long distance,whereas Alps skiing is down hills.

    To completely different sports or pastimes.

  4. Well in one hand you are sking in Norway, and on the other hand you have a mountain range. So therefore it makes it extremely difficult to compare the two.
