How does solar energy effect the environment in las Vegas?

Most solar energy is worse for the environment than other sources because the manufacturing process for solar panels produces a lot of extremely hazardous waste.  There's also the problem of scale because the sun only delivers 1.3 kilowatts per square metre, so a square metre of a typical solar panel at 20% efficiency will only deliver a few hundred watts.  Do the math, compare with the output of a typical power station and you'll quickly realize that covering the entire country with solar panels will only produce enough power for one or two medium-sized cities.

i lived in Vegas for 12 years and they did not have any solar energy going on...very sad they are years behind in Enviro basics.  Even to curbside recycle you had to beg the waste management company for a bin and then they sometimes picked up every 2 weeks.

Los Vegas distroys the environment by being there not to mention solar energy  which they don't have and should have...it has been in Barstow for decades and works very well..some places are just very slow thinking because of hang overs
