How does some people get away with things while others don't?

My ex works for Stocks and he is living with his secretary who still works for him and they allow the kids to play there when they don't have a sitter. Most companies would not allow this. Why do some people get away with things like this and others would of lost their jobs by now?

WHY do you care??  It seems you are more concerned about what is going on with your ex than you should be!  He is an EX....move on!!  

Is he neglecting, abusing etc etc the kids?  If not, what is your issue??  REALLY!!!!
