  1. The way is through 5 to 10 years of experierence. You start as a apprentice, then after a few years you become a Journeyman and then you become a master plumber.

But if you want to become a real certified plumber you should look up joining the Plumbers Union in your city. The union is all over US and Canada and there you can start a career in Plumbing. The union gives you work and also you have to go to classes every saturday where they teach you a whole lot. So its work and school at the same time. You start as an apprentice, then become a journeyman then a master.    Here´s the link to the Plumbers Union where you can find out the closest one to your town http://www.ua.org/

And also if you look for a big plumbing company in your town, Im sure you can get a job as an apprentice because big plumbing companies are usually aways hiring good people.

The way to do it is with years of experience or a apprenticeship program like the union. Then you have to take a test with the city to see if your are qualified to create your own businees and become licensed.

Plumbing is a whole lot more than just fixing a toilet and it is very expensive. You have to learn how to read blue prints, imagen a sky scraper being built from scratch needs a whole lot of pipe fitting.  Pipe Fitting is good money.
