  1. Yes the Qualifications, Training, and Certification is similar to applying to be a State Police Officer.* Civil Service testing, oral interviews, background checks on applicant.* In Pennsylvania the title was changed from Game Warden to Wildlife Conservation Officer many years ago.*

  2. You will need a degree in something like wildlife management, biology, law enforcement, etc.  In many states, Texas being one of them, you will have an almost impossible job of getting a job as a Game Warden without at least a Masters degree.

  3. You don't list your state but here is a link to an application for a Texas Game Warden

    The qualifications are listed

  4. In Canada I believe you need to take a college course

  5. Well, where I am sitting (Canada) you need to go to college and take a fish and wildlife course, then you would ideally go into a wilderness enforcement course. You then have to get into the ministry/department of natural resources as a game warden/conservation officer (Canadian version). It is a fairly hard job to get into, and even when you do, you normally start in some little back-water town. When you get the wilderness enforcement course under your belt, you can get a career as a conservation officer, game warden, park ranger, state trooper, provincial police, or the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
