How does someone get a job as a radio counselor?

How does someone get a job as a counselor over the radio? Even if the pay wasn't that great, it would be really rewarding to offer advice/help over the radio. How do I go about doing this? Please be as specific as possible.

First of all, you should have a PhD in counseling so they call you "Dr. ________" then you apply at the local radio stations to see if they will give you a try. A good speaking voice is a help.
