  1. people expect a lot of things from you.

  2. I just think that stereotyping is very limiting. If you subscribe to pre-conceived notions about people or groups of people, you make it very difficult for yourself to move beyond those stereotypes and see things for what they really are. Also, if you try to live up to a stereotype of a specific group that you belong to, you are cheating yourself of perhaps realizing your full potential in possibly many respects.

  3. it separates you from people and prevents you from doing the other things poeple do... Sometimes it is like not being given a chance to prove that's not who or where you came from .

  4. Cuz ppl are like 'dude your asian you must have a tiny chiny chubby'

  5. Because stereotypes judge someone based on false information. Its unfair to judge someone simply because they fit into a certain group, for example that all Asians are smart.

  6. Its wrong

  7. it doesn't, it's mostly the truth, but most people don't want to hear the truth about them. so they try and say it's a stereotype. when it's actually just the plain truth...............

  8. 'cause even if you don't follow those stereotypes people still label you as such. Not all asians are smart people! not all black people like koolaid either! I'm definitly a B- average, and I hate koolaid

  9. Say you're African-American.

How would you like it if someone told you look like a choclate bar?
