How does suspension work?

Question

thankfully iv never been suspended. but how does it work?

is it the yahoo people that suspend you or is it any random yahoo answerer?

and do they suspend you for asking questions that go against their guideline? or for giving an answer that "goes against" their guidelines?

iv heard a lot of people saying they got suspended for no reason when they didnt do or say anything to break the yahoo community guidelines? is there any way for them to get them back?

woah. im only on level 1. but if u were on level 4 or 5 and got suspended...man thats unfair!!

OMG i got suspended today and was literally 10 points away from level 5! so unfair. then again...some people here have been suspended like 16 times lol.

and yeah...actually i want to know the same. i didnt ask anything rude or controversial, and got slapped in the face. oh well! gotta start again from level 1! awww man!!! i cant even give thumbs ups or downs!! *cry*

Yea, once you're suspended it's permanent.  You can appeal it but it rarely works.  I've been suspended because of reports, because of violations also once for no reason (I received no report or violation, no content was removed at all).  Once you get suspended, just sign up a new email account and register for Y/A again.  

Yea, I had one level 4 or 5 account, on a Monday I was given a TC badge, then day after on Tuesday morning when I signed it, I was suspended.  That was pretty funny.

Oh, I heard also that if you appeal and win a suspension notice that you get your account back but it's empty, at level one.  I don't know if it's true but someone told me that once.
