I was thinking about CLEPing some tests to be able to transfer to SDSU next fall but I had some questions.

1. Can you take multiple CLEP tests?

2. Are they extremely difficult? (I was thinking of taking Spanish, English Comp, and English Lit)

3. Is it worth it??

Thank you!!

  1. 1.  Yes, you can take multiple CLEPs.  Make certain to check with your school to find out what their specific policy is for CLEP credit.  Not all schools accept credit for all CLEP tests, and most schools have a limit on the number of credits you can earn through CLEP tests.

    2.  Some tests are very difficult & some are not.  I haven't taken any of the CLEP tests you mentioned, but as a general rule, the math, science & history tests tend to be challenging.  Things like Analyzing & Interpreting Literature, Sociology & Psychology are commonly mentioned as the tests people found a little easier.

    3.  YES, it's definitely worth it!  You save money & time by taking CLEP tests instead of taking classes.  Imagine how much money you'll save by not having to pay for tuition and books to earn those credits!
