In wather, affects the direction hurricanes follow.  It forces them to go north/west, in northern hemisphere

and south west in southern.

were I live, Colima, México hurricanes travel going far fom the coast, in the Atlantic, they almost allways go to the gulf of México, Florida, east coast USA. Thath is Coriolis effect
