How does the Field Spell Card "Black Garden" really work?

Ill try and explain as plain as possible, it is really confusing so this is a guess.

when someone special summons the other player gets a rose token.

you can destroy the field card and all other plant monsters, then add up the attack of all the monsters destroyed, and special summon one monster from your graveyard with an attack equal to the number you added up., the other player doesnt get a rose token after you special summon that monster
