  1. I am sure they showed his partner, but just didn't identify him.

He had to have been the cute, hunky guy that was so excited and jumping up an down.

Very Cool that he is out!

    good for him.

    good for us.

  2. i think its way cool!! great dat he won gold, and dat he's proud and out!

  3. It's exciting.

  4. Hah, that's awesome

  5. yay...lol. i saw that. he was so surprised. he shouldnt have been. he deserved that medal....i mean..hello, did you see that dive? wow.lol. he did great. made me proud...and hes a cutie.

  6. thats awesome! g*y people are normal too and they can do everything just as well as straight people

  7. It makes me feel more a part of things.  When he wins, we all win.  The same way all Americans feel they win when an American wins.  I think it's probably that simple.  At least to me.

  8. I'll take every positive accomplishment from the LGBT community I can get! I saw him diving last night what a hotty!

  9. I feel excellent and proud..and your sexual orientation shouldn't matter anyway!

  10. Is that suppose to represent us?

Why is it that when homosexuals do something perverted, it's an unfair representation of us.  But they do something irrelevant to their sexuality and it's suppose to be our pride and joy?

I'm g*y, but I seriously don't think anything of it.

He is an athlete who happens to be g*y.

    Nothing more, nothing less.

In an attempt to be treated like equals, lets not get a big head.

  11. It is great- but he is not the first, even in this sport.

  12. i dont really care that he's g*y.

    but it was pretty kickass.

  13. I'm absolutely proud of him!!!!

  14. I think it is great he got gold, I just find it sad that its "an openly g*y" athlete won gold. His sexuality has nothing to do with his sport, unless he found a way to use his third leg. At this time that seems to be the biggest reason anyone cares.

  15. I think it's pretty cool that people aren't bashing him, not even his team. Seems like more people are finally understanding us.

  16. They actually showed his boy friend on tv (here in Australia)

what a great athlete. Congrats to him.

  17. I am SO proud of him

Usually g*y athletes are scared to come out because their insecure homophobic peers harass them... but it's awesome that he's so natural about it, rather than treat gayness like the big deal that it isn't :]
