Question:

How does the Olympics point system work?

I know they get points but how exactly do they defend them? Will they all lose their ranking points (achieved at the Olympics) this time enxt year? Or do they stay for 4 years until they can defend them?

I don't understand how this works!

Thankyou.

  1. I dont know what the exact points are, but they are exactly the same as a Grand Slam.  I know the Gold is worth 400 points, and I cant remember the points for the others, but they are based on a 52 week year and will drop off the anniversary the following year. So any points earned during the Olympics will just drop off the players points because you cant defend them since the Olympics are every 4 years.

I guess you could call them "bonus points" for a year.

    I hope that helps.
