Oh and a gloryhunter! No I asked for opinions and I struggle to see the point you are trying to make!

  1. Even QPR and Leeds United can win it.

  2. How can you compare the two?

I am a Chinese. Before 2007, we can watch English premier league for free. But now, I have to pay 60 Euro a year. I know it is still cheap but I can never imagine watch Scottish league by a payment.

  3. As a Scot, it pains me to see the state that our league is in.

I know that Scotland has about a tenth of the population of England, but the 12 team top flight and three leagues of 10 is so boring. I don't want to be seeing my team (Q.o.t.S) playing each side 4 times in the same season. And this ridiculous 'one team promoted, one team relegated', is a complete nonsense.

The Premier league's refusal spread the revenue and keep it for themselves is strangling the Scottish game.

In order to go forward, we need to have a top league of 18-20 teams (like the rest of the top divisions in Europe), a second division of 20-24, and then create a third tier from the best teams in the Juniors, Seniors and Highland League. And from each division you should have 3 or 4 teams going up and down each season.

Larger leagues with more variety can only be good for the Scottish game as a whole, and would create more chances for younger players to come through and experience a higher level of football rather than languishing in the lower divisions whilst the top clubs use all their TV revenue to bring in foreigners.

So in answer to the question, the English Premiership is the superior league.

  4. The premiership has more teams and more money, but then again Scotland is smaller than England, so stands to reason.

All a matter of opinion though and opinion can't be wrong.

You say you'd rather watch paint dry than watch the Scottish league but i'd rather watch paint dry than watch Stoke v hull.

With all due respect adz - nobody in your championship is in the champions league.

Lol - i wish we were running away with the league, 4 points from 2 games, Hamilton and Rangers are joint top.

Hamilton are top, Dundee Utd took points of Celtic, Aberdeen will probably get a result against Rangers on Saturday. But hey, nobody competes against the old firm.

  5. in the scottish prem, you know whos going to win the league, and you know whos getting relegated and whos coming 3rd, it so predictable.

In the Prem you know the top four but theres about 5 clubs in the last 3/4 games who have a good chance of getting relegated and between 5th and 9th you didn't know who was going to end up were until the last game which is all exciting stuff. Arsenal were kaneing last years league then a twist came, the prems full of twists and turns.

  6. although i do like rangers i do think that the scottish prem is like our championship

  7. It doesn't compare at all, Fulham would win the Scottish Premier league just think of the "stars" of Scotland that move south and only last a season, they pretend to be homesick cause they're not good enough and return to Scotland.  Barry Ferguson, Shaun Malloney,  Liam Miller (was meant to be the next George Best when he was at Celtic!!!W.E)

  8. oh diddums,i think av walked in to a nice little warm reception, and here i thought it was cold outside haha

av got a few words to say Gloryhunter,

look at the stats between spl v epl teams in europe

and another nice little afterthought leading up to present who was the last english manager to win the epl

as i know the scottish one

THE EPL IS 50% OF SCOTTISH ORIGIN

    OR IS THAT 72%

AS WHAT NATIONALITY HAVE HAD MOST SUCCESS AS MANAGERS AND BRING THEIR SCOTTISH CLUB STYLE OF PLAY INTO YOUR GAME (that kills me hahahahahaha)

  9. i'm scottish...of course the prem is better than the SPL, but i really dont see the likes of the fulhams and such drawing with barca like dundee utd did last season, and celtic beating man utd in the CL and rangers beating chelsea in pre season last season. blah blah..

celtic and Rangers would beat any of the "top flight" english teams. maybe not Arsenal but still.

  10. it doesn't compare its the same pick any 1 from 2 teams  Celtic/rangers or man utd / chelsea and you have this seasons champions there is no difference.....

  11. For the Scottish purists who will always love their league i don't think anything will convince them that their league is not better than the REAL Prem...  So in an easier sense ill describe and compare them like this:

EPL:A fine woman, perfect hips, hair, legs and eyes. Slightly upperclass and lives on the finer side of the city yet still VERY entertaining if you know what i mean.

The Championship:That girl you dont talk to much and don't normally "hang" with but you see everyday. Very entertaining person and you get along well with her. She likes to be competitive and can talk all day.

SPL:The slighty shorter(Possibly 4 feet tall) sister of The Championship. Only has one way of thinking and is the same height now that she was 30 years ago.

  12. the english prem is becoming just as boring, how about super sunday when the top four usualy play out tentative 0-0 draws or you may get a 1-0 victory while struggling to stay awake. at least celtic and rangers go out and attack each other.

  13. it is not comparable the premiership is by far the best league in uk and europe, this is why the top player want to come to the premiership

  14. Both at the moment have a 2-horse title race. Arsenal and Liverpool are great but lack over 38 league games.

In Scotland it was very exciting when Hearts under Geogre Burley got Hearts competing and making it a 3 with Hibernian also having a great year that season. But since then Hearts have had 100 or so managers!
