How does the U-Verse 10mbps internet compare to Comcast's 16mbps?

I switched my TV service to U-Verse, and was forced to switch my internet too. I am just wondering if U-Verse 10 mbps is as good as Comcast's 16 mbps. Also, how does it compare to Comcast's lower end services like the 8 mbps and 6 mbps tiers?

Well, beyond the obvious (10Mbps is slower than 16Mbps but faster than 8Mbps).

What I would suggest is to look at what you are doing with your connection. If you are waiting a lot on large downloads, or seeing video studder then you may be impacted by the lower speeds.   Having said that, unless you download very large files from servers that have very good rates, you probably will not see a huge difference. Either speed is more than enough to get typical u-tube videos.
