In the reality tv series The ultimate fighter, how does the ufc determine who will be selected from the ones that didn't win in the show. For example, why did Matthew Riddle, Dante Rivera, Matt Brown, Credeur, and Yarbrough get selected and not the others? thanks

  1. One word, RATINGS. I wish there was a more unbiased way to set match ups.

  2. They selected the ones who performed well in the show to be on the Finale. I think the only reason Dante got on there was because of the whole Dante Riddle rivalry, but everyone besides him did well and performed well. I didn't realize Matt Brown was a natural 170 fighter until he said so on the show. That dude took natural 185 guys OUT!!! As for Cale, I didn't think he was very good. He just went out to every fight and started swinging, and thats what the casual observers like to see.

  3. I think they mainly base it on the fights that they had on the show. Do they put on good shows? Do they seem to have a good fan base. Are they marketable. In the past they offered pretty much all of the fighters from the show fights, but they aren't planning on doing that anymore as they already have a deep pool of talent.

  4. Yes I do believe that UFC decides.

  5. The guys who have potential deserve the invitation.
