How does the Wireless Networking Adapter for xbox 360 work?

i have to unhook the ethernet cable from the computer to hook it up to my xbox 360, to be on xbox live, i need a easer way to do it. it this what i need to do it.

im not 100% sure what your asking, but if i do understand

if you have a Wireless Network Adapter, you do not need any ethernet cables running to the 360, you just need a wireless router hooked up to your PC
