  1. I don't think your going to get a serious answer to this question no matter how, or how many times you ask it .

  2. The way I see it, nothing can shield us from the goobment any more.

  3. A good start would be to read them.  They are written in plain English.

The first amendment shields Americans form government interference in their religious practices, and protects their right of free speech, free press, freedom of assembly and establishes the right to voice grievences to the government.

The 2nd amendment shileds the government from disarming the citizenry.  Not really, but effectively.  It certainly shields the government from disarming a citizen militia, but has never really been tested for gun control among ordinary citizens.

The 4th amendment protects our privacy from unwarranted government intrusiuon.  The governemnt can only invade your pricvacy on probable cause for specific purposes.

Th 5th amendment prevents the government from simply doing what it wants against people it does not like.  It requires due process, prevents the government from compelling self incriminating testimony, prevents the government from more than one attempt at a criminal conviction, and prevents the government from taking property without due process and compensation.

The 6th amendment ensures trial by jury, rather than a government judge, and provides equal power of law for the defense as the governemnt prosecution.

The 8th amendment prevents the government from holding a person on excessive bail or in prescribing cruel and unusual punishment.

Beyond the bill of rights, there were certain protections outlined in the Original constitution (Habeus Corpus, Ex post Facto and Bill of attainder clauses).   The constitution did not originally protect all of the people and additional amendments to ensure equal protection and equal rights came with the end of slavery and women's suffrage
