  1. just becase they are blind it doesnt mean tehy cant talk or hear

    (gee whiz! what a dummy)

  2. Some new busses have audio listing each stop. Like the buss 222 in London

  3. ITS ALL ABOUT INTUITION

  4. Blind people walk everywhere. You're not allowed dogs on buses =]

  5. well most buses now have a voice annunciator

saying out load "Line 333 for Santa Monica)

or the driver is suppose to pull up and tell the visually impaired

person what line he is driving

(they are *suppose* do that) also some times

you can get Flash cards(with the line numbers listed) from the transit agency (which are in braille and larger later then the blind person just holds up the flash card for the line they want toward the bus driver

  6. when one of the senses is not working the others make up for it

they will hear the bus coming

  7. Blind people can hear the bus coming and will either ask someone else at the stop which number it is or will get on and ask the driver.

  8. Their eyes may not work but their mouth usually does.

  9. Their guide dog tells them.

  10. If there is someone already at the bus stop they will ask.

A lot of bus drivers are good when it comes to the blind, they will pull over to the stop and call out to ask if that person is waiting for them.

Guide Dogs are the ONLY animal/pet that is allowed on buses.
