Magnesium Chloride absorption has been linked with increased health because magnesium is a core to creating (I think enzymes, hormones) natural chemicals in the human body. Several sites advise Magnesium Chloride can be absorbed by the skin, and is more beneficial this way than eating (because digestion apparently reduces the effectiveness of Mg). Seawater has about 13% magnesiumj depending which sea body or ocean and note-  Magnesium salts are diffrent from Table Salt (NaCl). Several people market Magnesium Chloride for use at home (lotion). It is an oily water extracted from seawater (after all the sodium ie NaCl is removed). MY QUESTION IS - What I am not sure is if you can get your Magnesium intake from just soaking (swimming) in sea water. If so, not sure for how long youneed to soak (some seas are saltier than others). I am aware (and have friends who prove this) that people who religiously bath every day (my friends do this at 5am in Sydney even in winter brrr..), almost never get sick. I believe this is due to the temperature of water (creates small micro shock of cold water helps kill off bugs and improve immune system - search Russian literature on dousing, effect works with fresh tap water too). But I am now wondering if they are absorbing Magnesium in the process which assists the effect. So while the Product you can buy is probably good, I am wondering whether "sea dwellers" can do this for free anyway. (This means if you live in the hills, you might have to buy the stuff but freshwater dowsing is free). You can draw your own opinion by googling what I wrote above.
