  1. The brain does not control the heart

The heart is purely muscle which never tires and can function without the brain (your heart can work for a while when you are dead!!!!) If the heart is not functioning properly, blood and Oxygen will not be pumped sufficiently round your body and the brain will pick up on this as you will feel tired, lethargic, out of breath, blue look....

If your heart is not working properly, therefore, you would know about it!

  2. it's mostly guesswork...

  3. There is information available to the brain such as pain, sound, temperature, and pressure, but many people with heart problems have no idea that there is an issue.  Doctors have many tests that can give additional information about heart health, and even those test results are far from a sure thing.  My mother died from a massive heart attack 1 month after a clean report from a treadmill test.

  4. The heart has a major nerve running to it but has a mind of its own. Did you know that if a heart transplant patient has a heart attack, they will not feel the chest pains?? This is because the major nerve is cut during transplant.
