  1. TV's   in the fifties did not have the technology that todays TV's have ... although there was color television ... very few people had it and almost everything was broadcast in black & white . It wasn't until the second half of the 60's that color tv became affordable to the average people ... and shows started to broadcast in color.


  2. I remember the first one we got in the late 60s, compared to today's color it was terrible. The colors were very muted and dull and it was almost impossible to get the proper flesh tones, they were always too green or red.
