  1. rain forrests absorb large amounts of Co2 and store it and produce large amounts of O2

  2. Simple, rain forests create most of the worlds oxygen, when you cut them down, more carbon dioxide is produced

(kind of confusing so just go to link.)

    http://www.rainforestlive.org.uk/index.c...

  3. The plants in the rain forest remove carbon dioxide from the air and release oxygen.

  4. IT DOES'NT= WHAT EVER IS DESTROYED NATURALLY, DOES'NT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH GLOBAL WARMING.

  5. I could get into the specifics, but simply put, trees suck up C02 and let out oxygen. We are cutting down the trees in the rainforest. That means less oxygen is produced and more CO2 accumulates in the atmosphere

  6. well as you might know  plants create oxygen for us to breathe. Well if there are less plants then there is less oxygen in the air. When too much CO2 is in the air, like nowadays the Earth warms up and the ice melts and etc.

  7. well..just think..the answer is easy..rain forests make up a good % of our planet.

trees and vegetation use carbon dioxide, thereby removing it from our atmosphere. less  rainforest=more carbon dioxide in our atmosphere.  Think of the rain forests as a filter in that way.

Now, also rainforests consume water.  Without that, the rainfall that falls is NOT used  and flows into rivers instead..this interefers with the "water cycle"--the results the oceans become less salty..dangerous for sealife.. the added water may eventually flood coastal cities..and also contribites to " making lands more arid-desert. this then causes for absorption of solar energy to decrease...so then?..what ya think?..

surface COOLING  increases. and the equatorial..and

equatorial convective activity and rainfall decreases.

ta da!!..more deserts!!. YESS--..and just think! the of the problems ..is in a series of events.....

global greenhouse effects, global warming.. and rise of sea-level---...

    so ..

the diminishing forest will in short..cause for carbon dioxide increases and as

the average annual precipitation decreases  the region's climate gets hotter and drier. and we humans need figure out how we will deal with this!

lol..if ya live oh?..like say 300 miles from the coast..you may profit!!..lol..ya may  now own ocean-front property!

  8. The planet's forests store and sequester carbon.   Yet, in many parts of the world, forests are being cleared for agriculture or pasture, destructively logged and mined, and degraded by human-set fires. When this occurs, their stored carbon is released back to the atmosphere during harvest and through respiration. Thus, these forests are net contributors of carbon to the atmosphere.

Tropical deforestation is responsible for approximately 20% of total human-caused carbon dioxide emissions each year.
