  1. One of the keys to the development of a "civilization" is the specialization of workers.  The best potters make the pottery, the best farmers grow the food, the best builders build the houses, etc. etc.

    This is basic economics or cooperation with optimization of skills that went along with the development of the earliest civilizations.

    Rome was not built in a day, they didn't have enough slaves for that.
