  1. Marginal Calls, Elasticity of Supply and Demand.....the economyt effects EVERY part of our lives!

  2. Where one lives or what country is discussed, the geography has little to do with how the economy affects agriculture. All those in agriculture are directly affected by the economy. The base of any countries economy is related to it's food production and distribution. Second is it's ability to manufacture, or lack of it, it's ability to import/ export. All countries need food and need durable goods. What it can't grow or make it needs to buy or do with out. Demand makes for supply and more demand should make for a less expensive supply but as economy is not doing well world wide cost rises even when demand is high. Much has to do with trying to have a high standard of living with rising cost of goods and services. It is an out of control circle of increases in cost, increases in wages to keep up with the cost of life and living, writing that off to those who need goods and service, and raw materials and basic labor rise, and people and countries have debt that requires added cost to carry. I'm hardly an economist by any stretch of the imagination but my way of dealing with it is in my home by simplifying my needs and doing more for myself, not buying more for myself. I keep my money and my needs local and I have spent my life learning how to be self-sufficient. I lack for little but I need less.
