  1. the only way--would be genetic engineering--the only other way i can think of off hand--is getting people of this planet--and to other world's--either way--both well  have to go under the heading of--for better or for worst

  2. Maybe 'cause as we find out more about our environment and surroundings, we will leaen how to adapt.

  3. In some ways it does - like in finding cures for illness and things like that, but not soulfully.

  4. Human development, growth, new knowledge and discovery is human evolution. If you compare the overall knowledge of human beings as individual and as a society from centuries ago to today you will notice the main differences are in the amount of knowledge we have about ourselves and our existence.

  5. the evolution of knowledge we accquire through making experiments and theorys, can relate to the evolution of human kind because the more scientific laws that are applied and related to a problem, the more theorys will be made. by making a controled experiment based on the problem and  each and every one of the possible solutions, a conclusion can be made, which means that more technological advances are also made to help people finish their everday tasks with more ease.

  6. We have slowed down evolution. Our knowledge of medicine, for example, has stopped us from evolving immunities to disease, yet disease continues to evolve in response to our medicine. Also, by using technology we essentially replace evolution as our method of adaptation. Instead of physically adapting to colder climates, we build insulated homes with fireplaces or hvac systems. Thus we do not need to evolve because our technology solves our problems for us.

But very soon, our knowledge will rapidly speed up our evolution as we will be in control of our physical bodies. With genetic engineering we can increase our intelligence, manufacture immunities to diseases, increase our size or strength or possibly anything. Who knows? Perhaps we could grow gills and be amphibious. We will also integrate technology into ourselves. Genetically engineered cyborgs will become a new race, and we will be as pets to them.

I just hope they don't put us into sacks and drown us.
