  2. Face Detection technology uses special algorithms that can detect typical face patterns in an image then adjust focus and exposure.

    very interesting question for me, from the point of view of technology and sure what i posted above makes no sense to me at all, lol

    and i'm trying to dig deeper

    and i can vouch it works, and works great at that

    have the sony t70, which goes even further > smile shutter

    so it rapid clicks 3 shots only when the subject smiles

    (obviously in smile mode, and smile level selected)

    and you can actually select your subject from a whole group photo

    so actually quite a few questions here, rather

    'Facial patterns' are stored in the camera's electronic memory.

    When face patterns are detected, the camera focuses on the intended subjects, and exposes the subjects properly
