How does the flag wave?

On the moon landing the flag waved, how does that work because there is no atmosphere?

Also why weren't there any stars?

I do believe they actually landed, but these questions help disprove it.

  1. NO!! It doesn't, and all hoax believers have no evidence, just consipracy. Hear that, they have no evidence!!! Anyone who disagrees can e-mail me. But the flag did not wave, it was moved. It was supported on the main pole and one pole across the top of the flag to keep it up. If you watch the video it takes a while to get the flag in the ground. There are plenty of websites that disprove all of these. Also, there were stars but you just couldn't see them. The same thing happens on Earth. During the day the sunlight shines on the Earth and creates a glare, can you see the stars during the day? No. The only reason it is blue is because of the atmosphere, the moon has none so it is just black (that is what the Earth would see if it had no atmosphere). Anyone who doesn't agree can e-mail me. Loosers.

  2. I thought this was a question about why do flags wave in the wind.

    Someone's gotta fix that ;-)

  3. Havent you noticed how you can see the Landing craft "Through" the astronaut.....?

They obviously filmed the astronaut in an anti gravity Aeroplane flight and over lade it onto the studio footage of the Supposed Moon.

    America is built on propaganda.

The same people gullible to believe it,  are no doubt the same people who believed in WMDs and that Saddam was something to do with 9/11 and that Dr David Kelly (R.I.P) killed himself..

  4. The Flag is set on a spring so it bounces back and forth, quite slowly. More so than it would on earth because the Moon has less Gravity than the Earth.

The reasons there are NO stars in the photos is because do to the radiation coverings on the camera, the power of the lens and its capturing abilities was diminished. Some stars are visible in some photos. Therefore the lighter surface of the moon (which is locked one side to earth, so the suns rays hit the side of the moon they landed on directly) Blinds out the stars.

However, in some photos stars are semi-viable.

look at pictures of space stations on the night side of the planet. Do you see any stars?

I believe Hoaxers and conspiracy theorists are wrong anyway because the government can't eve hide Watergate let alone a moon landing.

  5. SOME PLACES HAVE ATMOSPHERIC CONDITIONS AND THATS HOW A FLAG ON THE MOON WAVERED.

  6. Also as addition to the good stuff above, I recommend reading the Apollo Lunar Surface Journal from NASA. You will never get a better view inside this program and it explains nearly all nuts and bolts of the program.

One of the best explanations why the flag was waving: Because the astronauts made it wave.

And the stars, like explained, are just because the rest of the scene would be too bright to have them on the photos.

If you are one of the weaker souls, don't read the Apollo 12 article though. Your mom might not like you reading how a Navy All-Star crew is talking. :oD

It is hard to believe, that they faked the lunar landings, when reading the jokes the Apollo 12 crew made during their trip.

    Example:

101:32:35 Conrad (onboard): d**k can handle it.

101:32:45 Bean (onboard): d**k's a little jumpy this morning, too; I've been watching him in action. I can tell by your arm movement.

101:32:58 Bean (onboard): There you go - up, up. Somebody's - gotten to that little [garble].

101:33:05 Conrad (onboard): I tell you, I hate to see that thing [garble]. [Pause.]

101:33:16 Conrad (onboard): I really do get annoyed at those end pieces though; they just drive me absolutely ape! Now, for your next one, did you want to shake the bag? Look at that. Is that a drop of water on the end of that b*****d?

    101:33:37 Conrad (onboard): [Humming].

101:33:42 Bean (onboard): It'll be good to get down on the lunar surface and do some physical work. You know that?

101:33:48 Conrad (onboard): Speak for yourself; I'm a lazy son of a [garble].

101:33:51 Bean (onboard): So am I, but [garble] - I'm just ready enough to get down there and...

No, the communication quality was not worse than for Apollo 11. That are very well-timed garbles. ;)

You might fake a lot of stuff if you are a omnipotent government. But I doubt, that this kind of language and attitude would have existed in the Apollo flights, when it was faked and filmed according to a plot. ;)

Today, the language might be harmless, as it sounds just like Ozzy Osbourne, but it was different in 1970.

  7. The only time the flags ever waved was when the astronauts fired the ascent engine and took off from the lunar surface to rejoin the command and service modules. The engine produced a blast of hot gases that made the flag move, but other than that, there is nothing on the moon to make the flags wave. They actually have wire inside of then to hold them up.

  8. The program's conclusion was that the whole thing was faked in the Nevada desert (in Area 51, of course!). NASA did not have the technical capability of going to the Moon, but pressure due to the Cold War with the Soviet Union forced them to fake it.

  9. I don't think anyone can or will find an adequate answer to that phenomenom or we would have received a definitive one by now.!

  10. it could have been staged here on earth

  11. no they don't help disprove it. they prove how desperate these moon landing hoaxers really are.

flag waving: it wasn't waving. there was a horizontal bar on the top horizontal section of the flag. after all, a droopy flag doesn't look well on a worldwide broadcast!

stars: given the fact that the cameras were very primitive, and the fact that the moon is extreamily reflective, we arrive at the conclusion that this one is just as stupid. the light reflected by the moon made it hard to see hardly any stars, mixed with the primitive cameras, and you get to see no stars. there actually are some stars visible, but they are only seen on the later missions, and are very hard to see.

glad to see someone has enough sense to know it was real.

EDIT: there is no atmosphere on the moon anywhere, yes they can be explained, and no the astronaut does not look transparent. and it was not filmed in the nevada dessert and as someone said. the conclusion is, people are too idiotic and ignorant to realize we landed on the moon.

and the person talking about america being based on propaganda is first of all, not an astronomer so he has no authority over this question like i do, and second he is a complete moron. what moron would give "actionman" a thumbs up? thumbs down for him.

btw don't ask them to explain because you will get a bunch of crummy theories that are extreamily flawed in logic and i would hate to see someone who knows the right answer believe in this c**p. if you think any of them make sense, please email me or ask another question so we can clear their c**p up for you. :)

EDIT AGAIN: no they are ignorant morons. and i don't make fun of other people's religion because everyone has a right to faith, and faith was forced upon me as a child but i will challenge it when the threaten science with it. i also get very very angry about this because i have a very strong personal connection to the moon landing, and i'm tired of the common ignorance of people in this nation. either they are misguided (not morons some people simply don't understand the facts and its not their fault) but people who challenge the moon landing for attention, which is what most people are doing, are ignorant morons. people who simply don't know the full story, and were convinced by these ignorant conspiritists are not morons, but just misguided people. people that are willing to listen to another person's ideas are not igorant, but those who completely dismiss it for no reason (which is not what i am doing i have tons of proof) are ignorant morons. i am the last person on earth that makes fun of a person's relgion because religion was forced upon me as a child.

  12. The flag appeared to "wave" because there was a wire and spring built into the flag to hold it upright.  Otherwise it would have hung there and not looked nearly as inspiring.

Actually, scienceman has every right to call them morons, for the sake of scientific accuracy.

Mimzy, you're not required to respect another person's stupid belief.  If I insisted that 2+2=7,654,817 you would be well within your rights to call me an idiot.  And that is what the "moon hoax believers" are.  They take simple facts, add considerable bull****, poor logic, and the intellectual characteristics of a paranoid schizophrenic, and reach that kind of conclusion.

Personally, I believe that moon hoax believers NEED to believe that it was impossible to land on the Moon because it helps to overshadow their own deep-seated feelings of personal uselessness.  If somebody else faked their accomplishments, then the fact that the hoax-believers have NO accomplishments of their own doesn't seem so bad by comparison.
