  1. Monopoly is THE capitalistic model in action. The players all start with the same amount of money, property, etc. Through luck (the roll of the dice) and their own skill, they try to bankrupt the other players. THAT is the ultimate capitalistic society.


  2. Monopoly is based on an old boardgame called "The Landlord's Game" It was designed by a Quaker to expose the evils of capitalism, how people are forced to pay rent because all the property is owned.

  3. Essentially you are free to buy and sell anything you want at whatever prices you want or make trades. People pay for the use of properties you own and they land on. You lose if you have no money and you win if you have it all.
