For example, what do people who have glanced at a tabloid article once in a while think of Princess Beatrice, vs. what do people who have a good idea of her background/family life think?

Do tabloid articles have a strong effect on your opinion?

  1. It depends on the reader and their level of intelligence. Reading involves more than decoding letters, words and meaning;it also involves understanding fact from fiction, understanding how the media operates, and how the slant of a tabloid or newspaper is affected by its owner and editorial staff.People with a very good understanding usually read more than tabloids;they read reputable news magazines and papers and books,so they can figure out what's true and what's not.

The word "tabloid" brings on negative connotations;a tabloid isn't hard news, isn't reliable or trustworthy. If a story is in a tabloid,it's best to be skeptical.

  2. they don't me personally no but maybe some folk they will

  3. I myself am quite the Anglophile/monarchist, so I follow the the activities of the Royal Family and their politic actions avidly.

I can certainly say that my friends are easily convinced by the tabloids about the Royals, some days they think they're pretty cool and then the next they've been told to believe they're rich snobs who do nothing all day by the headlines.

Personally I have deep respect [and loyalty] for the Royal family and all the HARD work they do. Especially for Her Majesty. At the end of the day you come home and work stays behind, but Her Majesty's work never ends, she's dedicated her entire life to her country and her people. That's something none of us could do - and she could have said no and handed the throne off to her sister! Now that's some kind of devotion!

The tabloids always catch my eye when it's something to do with the Royal family and I always end up reading it, but they don't change my opinion of what marvellous people they are and how they're still very down to earth for all the duty that's been thrust into their hands.

    God Save The Queen!

    Cheers!
