  1. They offer a lot of games that are mathematically stacked in the casinos favor.  These are called "house bets" for example if you go to Foxwoods Casino you will see a side game called match the dealer on a Black Jack table.  If you match one or both of your cards to the dealers up card, you get paid at best 22 to 1 but the odds of actually doing this are like 250 to 1.  It's bets like those that keep the casino alive.  I'm sure you've also seen that there are tons of slot machines in the casino, these machines don't require much man power to operate and certainly don't pay out that well.  They are tuned so that they pay out less than they take in and are however regulated by the gaming commission.  In one day there is few if none times that all the players could combine their money and break the casino, it's just simply against the odds...

  2. Because the house is playing the odds, not the amount of players. The best you can do at a casino normally is win 20% of the time. That means the house will normally win 80% of the time. No contest in the long run.

  3. 1 % of gamblers use perfect basic strategy...they stick to games like blackjack, craps and video poker .   they play in such a way that the casino edge is .05% ...that means on average they lose a nickle every time they bet a hundred dollars....lets  say all other gamblers play  slot machines with a 5 % casino advantage...they lose on average 5 dollars for every hundred dollars bet     now, since slots are the fastest game in the casino lets just say all games are played at the same speed and compare.... every time 1 person at the craps table loses 5 cents 99 people at the slot machines lose $ 495.oo

  4. Almost every game has fixed house edge or %. The only that doesn't is blackjack it has a variable %, people are under the impretion that by playing perfect basic stratergy you will win. You will not you will only extend your time at the tables.

  5. Because gambling isn't a team game.  The odds for each person favor the house, so when 1000 people lose 100 each, the house makes 100k, and they're still up a ton when the 101st person wins 10k.

  6. "The House" is computer animated, computer designed, AND computer controlled! a lot of things that are all of these, usually beat anything that is actually LIVING! I don't trust computers anymore...
