If I don't mention anything about living in another country where I had previous arrests and an outstanding waarant issued by a family court, will it ever come up in the background check they will perform on me while I apply for a citizenship in that country?

  1. Criminal records could be checked when the country where you are applying for citizenship will request for a background check in your previous country.

  2. Unfortunately, there will be investigation and this will show up on your background checks.

Host nations are most careful whom they allow inside the country. It does not matter the duration of your travel or the kind of visa applying for.

It would be a good idea to specify all correct facts, which possibly might be taken in good spirit rather than falsify or omit information which would have serious repurcussions and a very likely denial.

Issuance of a visa, is a priviledge to any visa applicant. My personal belief and experiene has been to be sincere in your application.

What ever has hapened in the past can not be undone, but the actions of today will definately decide your tomorrow.
