I know that the sperm has to meet the egg...but how does it happen with birds. When i look at a male bird, it doesnt seem to have a p***s, so how does it reproduce?

  1. The female sits the perch, while the male scoots up behind her, puts a leg on her back for stability and they rub "vents."

There's a youtube video on it, go search for "Breeding budgies" or something similar

  2. it has one under all the feathers

basically he sits on top of the female and the rub their... um... butts together

  3. Most birds -- male and female -- just have a cloaca, or opening, that serves as their external genitalia. When they mate the male and female birds press them together so that the sperm can pass through and fertilize the egg. In the case of some birds, such as ducks, a p***s is present.

  4. ,Small birds have a cloaca the females is in the vent, the male does have a small p***s,when it mounts the female the organs come in contact and the sperm is carried into the female's egg duct,as the sperm doesn't meet the egg ,it is carried by the female till she forms the egg and is deposited in the process of the egg forming.

Larger birds such as Geese, and the majority of waterfowl,Cranes ,Ostriches, etc the p***s can be seen in the mating act.
