Is it the same as regular winnings, where it gets passed around between sponsors, drivers, etc.? Or do the drivers get the whole thing?

  1. idk

  2. Winnings are never passed to the sponsors.  Sponsors pay to be on the race car for TV or ad exposure but never get race winnings.  Race winning checks are made out to the team owner, Roush-Fenway, Hendrick Motorsports, etc., not the drivers themselves  The owners then decide how it is split up.  The drivers get a percentage of all winnings depending on their individual contract.  Each driver's contract is different but usually between 30% - 50%.  But the winning team of the All-Star race gets a little over a million dollars, then the owners divides it up.  Sometimes the owners give a little more money to the team for the All-Star race to intice the team to produce a win.
