how come china is in first place when USA have like 73 medals

China counts gold medals only.

You can Talley them up however you want though, I like to take in consideration the bronze and silver too since to leave those athletes out is kind of lame.  Even doing that though, with the U.S. only 5 medals ahead in bronze and silver, china is winning.

As long as Great Britain, Australia and Germany are getting whopped, I could care less, those 3 like to talk to much c**p on here.

So hypothetically if the USA had 72 silver medals and China had 67 gold the NBC tally would have the US winning. YEAH RIGHT.You use silver and bronze medals to tie break teams on equal golds.

And don't take this as being anti US, defending the US probably comes second to religion in heated discussions I have. I don't mind a heated discussion, lol
