I received a subpoena (as a witness) to go to court but other witnesses did not receive a subpoena. Did somebody mess up? How does the process work in ontario, canada?

  1. they obviously felt your testimony was more important than others and represented their case the best.  In Ontario either the crown or defense can call you as a witness.  What ever side calls you is allowed to queston you in court to get their "view" out but then the other side is allowed to cross examine to try and refute your story.

Either way, if you are sent a supoena and dont show you yourself can be charged.
