  1. You need to clear up some of your information. There are royals and then there is the peerage. A royal can be both.

    King/Queen Regnant

Queen Consort/Prince Consort (spouses of the monarch)

    Prince/Princess

All of the above can bear royal versions of the peerage titles:

    Royal Duke/Duchess

    Royal Marquess/Marchioness

    Royal Earl/Countess

    Royal Baron/Baroness

A good example of this is Charles,Prince of Wales who is also Duke of Cornwall, Duke of Rothesay, Earl of Carrick and Baron Renfrew, Lord of the Isles, and Prince and Great Steward of Scotland.

    Those are the royal titles.

And following these titles are the non-royal aristocrats the non-royal dukes, marquesses,et cetera.

  2. check wikipedia.  They have some complete lists...it varies somewhat according to country.  In England, for example, Earl/countess is pretty low, in Spain it's even lower.  there are other ranks between duke/duchess and count/countess.

  3. King Supreme Ruler

    Queen Wife of Supreme Ruler

Royal Prince/Princess Heir to the Throne

    Prince/Princess Not to inherit

Royal Duke In line to succeed

    Duke, High Office Peerage

    Marquess, Nobility

    Earl, Nobility

    Viscount, Nobility

    Baron Nobility

    Baronett Minor nobility

    Lord Minor nobility

    Knight Dubbed

    Squire Knight to be

BEC i know royals can have several titles however i felt that was all a bit over technical and not nessecary to answering the question. although i do admire you atempt to look like a know it all

  4. That is as far as royalty goes.  Although minor members of the royal family may be addressed Earl, Viscount, Lord, or Lady (in that order of precedence).

  5. In the Holy Roman Empire, which had basically every grade of title, the order was as follows:

    Emperor

    King

    Archduke

    Elector

    Duke

    Margrave/Landgrave/Count Palatine

    Prince

    Count

    Baron/Lord

    Untitled nobility

After the Empire, Grand Duke came between Kings and Dukes, Archduke became a title for members of the Austrian Imperial Family and Elector ceased to be used after Hesse-Cassel was annexed by Prussia.

In the United Kingdom, the order is:

    King/Queen

    Sovereign's consort

    Prince of Wales

    Other royals

    Dukes

    Marquesses (analogous to margraves)

    Earls (analogous to counts)

    Viscounts

    Barons

    In France, the order was:

    King

    Members of the royal family

    Princes

    Dukes

    Marquises (analogous to margraves)

    Counts

    Barons

    Various other lords
